Dear Butler County Folks,

I have reached, for the most part, a dead end/brick wall!!! Help!!!! I have searched in the various census years for Jacksons in Butler County. I have not been able to connect to any of the families alive today, that is, their descendants! I know there was an Andrew E. Jackson there at one time, in or around the early 1860's and before then. My GR GR GR grandfather, William Jackson, (wife, Mary) was there in the 1850 Butler County, AL Census. He had 6 children: 4 daughters and 2 sons, which I have posted before. One of his sons, Cleton, was my gr gr grandfather, who married Sarah Ann Keith, there in Butler County. Does anyone at all connect to these Jackson's back then or even now? Andrew E. Jackson, was from GA, as was my William. I am thinking that possibly they were brothers??? Cousins??? They were only about 6 - 7 years apart in age, Andrew being born abt 1792, and my William being born abt 1798. Does anyone know who Andrew E. Jackson came from, his parents, etc..? Hope someone has some light to shed on this. If I were able to, I would coome and dig through the archives, there, myself! Does Butler County have Deed and Will Books that anyone may have access to? Please advise!!

My very sincerest thanks, in advance, Linda
