I'm looking for information on John Harlow m. Sarah A. Greene in Butler Co., AL 10 July, 1869. Harlow was in Thomaston, GA in 1860 census. He enlisted in Goldsmiths Independent Co., Alabama Volunteers, which I believe to be a "Home Guard Unit" from Butler County. I believe John Harlow's first wife, who was also named Sarah(Hopkins) died in 1868 in Butler County. Any help on these names or on Goldsmith's Independent Co. would be greatly appreciated.
