Nancy -
You're started something with me. I've been following this bunch on census records since I got your email. Jane Sims, who married to Edmond Franklin (and this is my husband's bunch of Franklins), was the sister of Wiley Wilson who married Luvinia.
I've been working the children of Wiley & Luvinia and have their son Wiley Wilson (Bunk) on 1860, 1870 & 1900 so far. Just realized I was missing him in 1880 and didn't find him in Limestone County, so tried just a search for him in TX.
What I got surprised me.
1880 District 136, Austin, Travis Co, TX

Page 6B SD 5 ED 136
Mesquite Street
Enumerated 2 Jun 1880
44/54:
listed among many others was
Sims Wiley W W M 31 prisoner maried Farmer AL SC AL [1849]
This looks like it would be him as he was born 2 Jan 1850 and the AL SC AL fits, too.
Wonder what the story was here & where Mary E and the children were at this time??
Thought I'd found them in Burnet Co, TX as this Sims female is called Emly and is aged 42 with a son named Ed 5 (Wiley & Mary's son Ed Wm is 26 in 1900), along with Nanna M 15, Arthur 13, Samuell 11, Minny 8 & Maud 3, but this female says she was born in MO father born MO and mother born KY and it says the father of these children was born in TN.
Puzzled here.
