No problem. If you ask a question and I know the answer, I'll tell you and know you'll do the same in return.

I research both my husband's family and my own. As far as "pretty stories" go, I have some files in one particular spot in my filing cabinet that I haven't touched in years (made them back when I was first starting to research). I can honestly admit that they contain a few of those "pretty stories" that someone else shared with me, but I don't have any intention of tossing them out. Am hoping that sometime in the future when I find a "round tuit" or 3 clones of myself , I'll be able to use what I've learned since then to properly research those items.

I have no idea where the rumor got started that Josiah L was a brother of Mark Franklin. Someone somewhere made an assumption, I guess.

They could be brothers. Or they couldn't. Or they could be cousins. Or they could just be two unrelated guys with the same surname living in the same state who intentionally set out to drive us to distraction!!

I'll just deal with this "open door" like I've dealt with a few others. Leave it open & wait to see if additional research will give the proof we need one way or another.
