Hi,
I'm attempting to prove that Alfred is the son of Byram Hinds who was born in Knox County Tenn. and moved to Blount County, AL. Alfred is the father of Austin Montgomery who is the father of another Alfred Luther Hinds who is my grandfather.
I have a copy of Austin's death certificate which lists his parents as Alfred Luther Hinds and Mary Carnes.
Alfred's burial is recorded in a small cemetery in Blount County, AL.
Since he died 1865, records are few and far between.
If you have any information, I certainly would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Dinah Peevy

Byrum Wilborn Hinds appears in an article in the Huntsville (Ala.) Times, May 9, 1955; is given as the father of Sarah Hinds (Alfred's sister) on her death certificate, 12 Sep 1912 in Duncan, Stephens Co., OK; and in an Orphans Court Administration - Madison Co., Alabama, Sept. 12, 1844, for Levi Hinds (Alfred's brother). Unfortunately I do not have copies of these items; a fellow researcher provided this information.

Thank you for your information.
Do you have anything to prove that Sarah was Alfred's sister?
Thanks,
