My WILSON connection is through: JOSEPH ENOCH WILSON/MIRANDA OLA HERRING.

JOSEPH ENOCH WILSON (my grandfather), was the son of LEVI DUDLEY WILSON (born, 1833 - NC; died abt. 1887 - AL) and MARTHA E. RODGERS (born 1833 - EDGEFIELD, SC; died 1917 - Bessemer (Jonesboro), Jefferson County, AL).

LEVI DUDLEY WILSON was son of JOHN WILSON/HEPHZIBAH (?) of Dunn, NC; and MARTHA E. RODGERS was a daughter of RICHARD RODGERS/NANCY (?) of Edgefield, SC. They came to Coosa County before 1853, the year JOSEPH ENOCH WILSON, was born at Equality, AL, on Jul. 26, 1853. Levi Dudley served in 53rd Alabama Calvary, Co.C, Hannon's Regiment. JOSEPH ENOCH WILSON's brothers and sisters were: Jessie Levi, George, Vestor, Victoria, Ella, and Martha Naomi.

JOSEPH ENOCH WILSON married MIRANDA OLA HERRING (his second wife), on Feb. 15, 1893, at Woodstock, Bibb County, AL.

MIRANDA OLA HERRING (my grandmother) was born on Sep. 11, 1873, at Woodstock, AL. Her parents were SAMUEL YOUNG HERRING and BETSY ANN HAWKINS. SAMUEL YOUNG HERRING (born, 1854 - Bibb County, AL; died, 1907 - at ?) was son of ELIJAH HERRING and EPSIE (ESPEY) MOSES of Greenpond, Bibb County, AL. BETSY ANN HAWKINS (born, 1858 - Elyton, Jefferson County, AL; died, 1900 -at ?) was daughter of JOSIAH HAWKINS and LOUISA LOLLY. MIRANDA OLA's brothers and sisters were; James F., George W., Grover, Rush, Maggie, Sallie, Josie Gertrude, Folsum, Estelle, and Myrtice.

The offspring of JOSEPH ENOCH WILSON and MIRANDA OLA HERRING were; HELON HERRING, DIAZ, JESSIE FRENCH, JOSEPH ELISHA, IVEY DAWSON, RACHEL ELIZABETH, OWEN, and GLADYS RUTH.

JOSEPH ENOCH's first wife, HELON HEPHZIBAH SUDDUTH, was the daughter of JOSEPH SUDDUTH/MAUDE (?). HELON HEPHZIBAH was born Sep. 2, 1855, at (near) Newtonville, Fayette County, AL. The sons and daughters of this union were; LANA B., LENA ESTELLE, LINDA GERTRUDE, ELLA IORA, ANNIE BELLE, MAUDE, and JOSEPH S.

Diaz Wilson's marriage to Lillian Selman (Sellman). They had at least one son,(? Joseph Diaz).
