My info on this person is sketchy at best. He was my great grandfather on my mother's side. Here is what I know for sure. He was born in 1876 at Sand Mountain Alabama(in the Fort Payne area). Some of his children's names are Rube Johnson, Sue Johnson, Rena Beatrice Johnson, Walter Johnson, Bettie Johnson-Moore(my grandmother), Katherine Johnson. His records were destroyed in a courthouse(?) fire before he retired and needed to collect Social Security. The things that I am not sure about are the spelling of his name. Could be Bert or Burt, either short for something else. I do not know what the initial B for a middle name means. I think his wife's name was Emma Segers(sp?) I have hit a wall here and really want to get past this block. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.
