Lowrey/Lowry/Lowery families of Bibb County, AL

Classification: Query
Surnames: Lowry, Lowrey, Lowery
I'd like to establish contact with any Lowrey/Lowery/Lowry families who came to Bibb County, AL in the early 1800s, particularly those who hailed from Bledsoe County, TN. The names of the Lowrys in Bibb County's early years are very similar to those of our extended Lowry family. Would also like to know if any Lowry families from this area have had a DNA test done...our line has done the DNA testing...our family line includes John "Crip" Lowry, born 1753, Scotland, and his younger brother, Thomas Lowry, possibly born in Ireland circa 1760-1770 before the family came to America. Thomas Lowry and John "Crip" Lowry families both lived in Guilford County, NC, in 1800-1820 time frame, and in TN (John "Crip" Lowry's family went to Bledsoe and then DeKalb County, AL; Thomas Lowry's family went to Maury County, TN and then on to Gallatin County, IL and points beyond) If your Lowrys have roots in Bibb, Bledsoe Co. TN, or NC, we'd love to hear from you! We are particularly interested in the family of Joel Lowry, since he has sons whose names mirror our family tree in that time frame.
