Hello Cousin,
I am a descendant of Agrippa Atkinson who we find in Hancock Co. GA in 1805. He was married to Martha "Patsey" Grace, daughter of Thomas Grace. My gggrandfather was Arthur born abt 1798 in Jackson Co. Georgia. Arthur married Dortha Callaway Gardner in 1820 in Bibb Co. Alabama. Arthur and family moved to Smith Co. Texas in 1840 where he was the second county judge.
Their son Newton, Sr. born 26 Jan 1827 in Bibb Co. is my greatgrandfather. His first wife was Clarissa Jane Evans married July 19, 1849. Their children were Mary Jane, George Franklin, Dortha A., Jehu and David. Clarissa died Sept 16, 1862. They are buried in Pala Pinto, Texas.

In Sept 1863, Newton, Sr. married Elizabeth Susan Keith and their son Newton Eli Atkinson, Jr. is my grandfather and they lived in Jack Co. Texas.
