I am researching this family who was shown on the 1860 census as living in Calhoun, ALA. I am looking for him in 1850 in Benton county but have had no luck. He named his first son John (possibly Johnathan Jefferson). Could have been named after his father. I know he was in Alabama because all of his children were born there except John (SC). and the last child was born in 1854 in Alabama. William and Jane and family were in Mississippi in 1870. Charlie was not found after 1844 so far.
