Jewel Genevieve Weekley Stringer

Jewel Genevieve "Gene" Weekley Stringer, a homemaker, died Tuesday at her residence. She was 94.

Mrs. Stringer was a native of Dyas in Baldwin County and a resident of Homewood, Ala.

Survivors include one son, Leon Parren Stringer of Mobile; one daughter, Gail Cason of Birmingham; one sister, Thyra Long of Perdido; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral at Perdido Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Perdido Baptist Cmetery. Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette is handling arrangements.
