you and my husband are 2nd cousins, his father Samuel Bryant would be Edna's nephew; or your mother Mary Ellen & his father Samuel are 1st cousins.

And to keep it more interesting you and I are half 24th cousins 3 times removed.

I have more entries into the family tree, since I gave it to my in laws, they don't seem to be too interested, so I really haven't up dated theirs.

I live in Silver Spring (Columbia) around the corner from you. We will have to get together & share notes.

I found Isaac Simpson Spence's death certificate the other day. He died march 14, 1912, stated father was Augustus Spence (I guess that is what the A. stands for in Leonadis A. Spence) & stated his mother was Jane Taber or Taler (there was two death certificates.)

Therefore this Jane must of been a 1st wife, as I have Leonadis married to Julia Ann Spence dtr of Isaac B Spence. therefore Leonadis had probably three children by Jane & the one child by Julia ann. He & Julia Ann were married in 1870 after the first three children were born.

Still looking for Simpson's wife's death certificate.

This family right down to my father in law used their middle names as everyday names, which really makes research interesting. :)

Charles "Henry" Bryant was born in Calhoun Falls, SC...His father was "Samuel" Bryant...which probably was a middle name.... :(
