Forkland was the last stop the heads of the families moved to before they died. Mann, Chess, Chaney, and Junior all started not too far from there in Oakchi, as Kat said. Previously, that area was Oakchi Landing West, a Choctaw Indian settlement.

There probably many Chaney links. The one I know best is (from an earlier post to you) Maggie Chaney-Junior (my gr-grandmother) had children with a Capers.

Another link( from earlier posts) is that Hickson Capers was DW Caper's father. Maggie was my grandfather's mother, his name was Eddie Junior. Pleasant Chess-Mann married Eddie Junior's wife's (Dora Cost-Junior) uncle, Sam (John Henry) Mann.

Still antother link is that Eddie Junior's sister, Hettie, had children with a Capers.

The last link I know of (from an earlier post) is Claretta Alston-Capers, Ida Mann-Alston's grandaughter, married a Capers.
