Mrs. Ella Long Monson, 92, widow of I. N. Monson died at 11:50 p.m. Friday Dec. 13, at the Harrison Memorial Hospital after an illness of two weeks.

A native of Harrison County, she was born June 22, 1871, a daughter of the late Josiah Maffett and Nancy Webb Long. She was a member of the Cynthiana Baptist Church for around 70 years. She taught in the Harrison County and the Cynthiana school systems for 15 years.

Survivors are a daughter, Miss Edith Long Monson, Cynthiana, and a sister, Miss Alice E. Long, Covington.

Services were conducted at the Whaley Funeral Home by Dr. George Redding and Rev. Lee Hopkins. Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Oscar Sowder, William Webb, James S. Whaley, Dr. H. H. Moody, Collis Maffett, Louis Gordon, Dr. J. P. Wyles, A. M. Carmichael. Shearle Hicks, James Kendall and Lander Crocket.
