Charlie Luther Evans, 68, Harrison County farmer, died at 9:10 p.m. CST Wednesday, May 21, 1950, at his residence near Buena Vista after an illness of two years.

With the exception of 13 years, Mr. Evans had been a lifelong resident of Harrison County, residing at the place where he died.

He wa born Dec. 3, 1881, a son of the late James D. and Louella Monson Evans and was a member of Jehovahs Witnesses Church. His father was a native of Harrison County and his mother was a native of Nicholas County.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eva Tapp Evans, whom he married July 13, 1904, and four great-nephews.

funeral services were held at 10 a.m. CST Saturday at the Whaley Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Ira Harding, Lexington. Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers selected were Adrian and Raymond Palmer, Stanley and Leon Florence, Russell Stephens and Roscoe McCauley.

Honorary pallbearers were Charles B. Marshall, Dr. J. P. Wyles, Dr A. L. Medeklle, T. W. Brooks, Stanley Whalen and Bruce (Brice?) Stephens.
