If you have any info, please write me.
I'm looking for the names DOWNS, WHALEY, and PEARSON. I know that my grandpa Pearson is from Arkansas, but I don't know where. I also know that my great-grandpa Downs was born in Cleveland, Ohio, but was raised in Chicago, Illinois before he came to California. He there married my great-grandma Whaley.

Carolyn: I have a few Whaleys. If you can tell me the Whaleys you are looking for I might be able to help.

Dear Carolyn,
I have a few Pearsons in my family, including the following: 1. Lucy E. Pearson 2. John F. Pearson
Let me know if any of this interests you! I could share some more info, if you like.

Also searching for Whaley family roots. Grandfather was Clyde Allen Whaley. I think my great grandmother was a Whaley-Hall. My Grandmother was Blanch Ward-Whaley-Norton. I think every one of these folks were based somewhere in Indiana. Thanks MLWP

Hi Carolyn,
I am researching the Whaley family in Lincolnshire. Robert Taylor WHALEY was born in Wyvill, in 1810. He then moved to Nottingham, England.
Are you able to help with this family ?

Brenda,
It has been some period of time since your posting. Have you been able to find any information regarding your Robert Taylor Whaley?
My great great grand-mother was Ann Whaley, born about 1812 in Wyville, Lincolnshire, England.
In 1833 she married Thomas Brown in Bitchfield, Lincolnshire, and was widowed before she was fifty.
So far I have found only one sister - Ellen, who from what I can detect, never married.
Has your Robert any sisters? Could we have a connection?
I am trying to connect Ann with parents and siblings. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
B.J. (In Canada)

Hi Bob,

Do you have any further information? Could Henry be the second name of one of the sons you have listed?
How many children did Samuel and Ann have in total?
Cheers

The only information that I have on Henry Whaley is derived from the 1841 census. I do not have any accurate information on his year of birth or death.
Robert Taylor Whaley was baptized in Harlaxton but the record of his baptism is is held in Nottingham Records Office not Lincoln Records Office. Whether this could mean that any information on Henry is held at an unexpected location can only be conjectured! Of the other boys of Samuel and Ann born before 1821, Samuel b 1813 does not appear in the 1841 census. Could Samuel and Henry be the same ????
Regards Bob
