Grevemberg House Museum in Franklin, LA has an album of photographs of Calumet Plantation. All are from 1890's and include sugar mill, field operations, buildings and employees. Calumet Plantation House is still standing and is on the bayou side of Highway 182 near the Patterson Airport. If you can be more specific about what you need to know about Calumet, maybe someone can help.

Don't know who owned it in 1870's. In 1890's when photos at Grevemberg Museum were taken the owners were the Thomsons. Grevemberg House address is P.O. Box 400, Franklin, LA 70538. There is a web page that you can link to by going to the Franklin, LA site.

De- Calumet Plantation in St. Mary Parish is my family home. My family has owned it for approximately 36 years now. Most of Calumet's history is documented.
If you are still looking for info, I would be glad to share any knowledge with you. Michelle

Hello Michelle: Can you please share information with me regarding the history of your family's plantation, especially the information on the slaves and a Rev. Anderson Tibbs who was allowed to perform slave marriages and who possibly found his wife Antoinette there. I don't know Antoinette's maiden (slave name). They are my great-great grandparents. Can you please help.

Thanks.
