I believe you are talking about Arthur Sizemore and Mary Polly Bailey's daughter Cynthia Sizemore. I have that she married a Padgett. I know they had a daughter Eliza born in 1823.

The husband of Cynthia Padgett b. abt 1803, daughter of Arthur and Mary Bailey Sizemore, is believed to have been Theodore Padgett. Their son, Elijah Padgett, was born abt 1824. Elijah married Mary Jane Gross b abt 1834. They had two children, Richard Padgett b. 1857 and James Padgett b 1859. Mary Bailey Sizemore had named her grandson, Elijah Padgett, as executor of her will in 1858.

1860 census Baldwin Co., AL:
Elijah Padgett, 36 M Ind
Mary Jane, 26 F Ind
Richard B. 3 M Ind
James B. 1 M Ind
Cynthia Padgett 57 F Ind
Mary Seymore 101 F Ind*
They are living next door to William Sizemore, son of Arthur and Mary Sizemore and Cynthia's brother, and William's wife, Levitia Moniac Sizemore and their children.

Shortly after this census, Mary "Polly" Bailey Sizemore added a codicil to her will stating that her grandson, Elijah Padgett, had "departed this life" and naming David A. Moniac as executor of her will in Elijah's stead. Mary "Polly" Bailey Sizemore died and her will was probated in 1862.

*The 1850 Baldwin Co., AL census shows Mary Sizemore age 80 (b. 1770) living next door to William and Levitia Moniac Sizemore, so there is about an 11 year difference in the ages on these two census records. However, all evidence points to this Mary Seymore age 101 being Mary "Polly" Bailey Sizemore.

I hope this clears some of the confusion.

I have the family tree.I have little information of J.D. other than he wrote EARLY ALABAMA. When I was little we referred to him as Major Driesbach. He came to Baldwin County from Ohio.My Grandmother was Josephine Tate Driesbach before marriage to Walter English. I cannot find service record of him in the U.S. or C.S.A. At one time my Aunt had his obituary notice in Baldwin County (Bay Minette) Al newspaper. It told of his legislative offices held. Charles Henry Driesbach was in the C.S.A. Army. He also was a tax collector in Baldwin County. I am interested in both J.D. and Charles Henry.

Thanks

Hello!

Do you know for certain where John Tate/Tait is buried? Many online trees say that Charles Weatherford, b. 1752, Lunenberg, VA, father of Red Eagle, was buried at Fort Benning GA (before it became Ft. Benning, of course), but Lynn Hastie Thompson, in her Weatherford/Red Eagle book, states clearly that John Tate is buried there. As you know, John was Sehoy's second husband and Charles was her third; I just think that many online treemakers have mixed up the two husbands' burial places. I want to know FOR SURE where John and Charles are buried. Thanks so much!

I am looking for any info on the Sizemore Family descendants. My grandmother was Ruby Willie Sizemore Brazell. Her parents were Arthur M and Jessie Idonia Emanuel. Arthur M was the son of George W and Ann M Ellison. George W was the son of Absolum and Susannah Stiggins Hatterway. Absolum was the son of Arthur and Mary Polly Bailey. That is as far as I have been able to get. Any help would be great!

Best regards,
