Want to find my ggrandfather, Uriah Wolbach 1870 ?-July 3, 1892. Uriah was killed by a thrown baseball. My grandmother his daughter was born May 7, 1892.Uriah was married to Clora Belle Koonse. Her written words gave this much info.I know that Uriah was a DOMESTIC SERVANT in both Pa and Ks. beginning at age 7 yrs. old.I have visited his grave site and was only left with more questions, no mention of love-ones etc. Any info would be appreciated. I'm not sure why you posted on the New England board.

He looks to be the son of Cincinnatus & Anna Wolbach of PA. Uriah appears on an 1885 Kansas state census with Cincinnatus & another wife. The household is as follows:

Cin Wolbach - age 39, farmer
Rosina " - age 27
Amandus Kershner - age 17 (male)
Uriah Wolbach - age 15
Alice " - age 11
Nellie " - age 9
Elizabeth " - age 4
Flora " - age 2

All listed as born in PA; living in Beaver Township, Decateur Co., Post Office Cedar Bluffs.

In another house on the same census page:

David Wolbach - age 44, b. PA
Elizabeth - 43, IN
G. S. (male) - 18, IL
Etna - 16, IL
Thankful - 14, IL
Roy B. - 12, NE
John - 10, Lula - 6, NE
Martha - 4, KS
Attie - 2, KS
infant (female) - 6 mos., KS

Also want to point out that Cincinnatus & Anna are on the 1870 census w/more children

You posted a letter in your family tree that says Clora Belle moved with her parents "south of Wallace" and lived there a couple of years before she married Uriah.

What have you done to find their marriage in the Wallace area? Have you contacted the Lincoln County courthouse to try to find out whether they have marriage records from 1891?
