Many messages posted on the USA General board don't belong here. That is why they get moved. Posts that concern a more specific locality (other than USA without knowledge of the state or county) belong on the county or state/Unknown County board...not on USA General.

Posts that mainly concern a surname/family or topic (genealogy help, occupations, adoptions, Ancestry issues) belong on a more appropriate board.

USA General is only for posts where the poster knows that someone or a family immigrated to the USA but doesn't know specifically where they settled in the USA or knows only that they settled in multiple locations.
