Wahnita Baldwin, 89, of Fort Madison, died at 1:50 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8 at the home of her children in Mountain Home, Ark. She was born Sept. 9, 1916, in Rock Island, Ill., the daughter of John and Anna (Brannon) Huss. She married Lester Baldwin. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Lester Baldwin, and a daughter Paulette Baldwin, both of Mountain Home; a grandson; a granddaughter; a great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbad, a brother, and three sisters. Her body has been cremated. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fort Madison, with Rev. Christopher David officiating. A memorial has been established in her name. Survivors include her husband, Henry, of Fort Madison; a daughter, June Shoup of Fort Madison; three sons, Henry (wife Cindy) Becerra Jr. and Carl Becerra, all of Fort Madison, and Walter (wife Julie) Becerra of Oquawka, Ill.; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (wife Terry) Nolte of Fort Madison and Richard (wife Marilyn) Nolte of Donnellson; a sister, JoAnn (husband Steve) Reuther of Fort Madison, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. Marvin George Knoch, 80, of Fort Madison, died at 5:49 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2005, at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant. Born May 7, 1925, in Fort Madison, he was the son of Sam and Margaret Brennan Knoch. On May 13, 1955, he married Mary Elizabeth Davis in Keokuk. She died Feb. 18, 1983. Mr. Knoch worked in the parks department for the city of Fort Madison for 30 years, retiring as superintendent. He enjoyed the Tri–State Rodeo and took great pride in the appearance of Rodeo Park and all of the Fort Madison parks. Survivors include two sons, Marvin Paul Knoch of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Kevin Lynn Knoch of Fort Madison; two daughters, Carolyn Sue Harryman of Fort Madison and Marilyn Wolfe of Louisville, Ill.; two grandsons; one sister, Virginia Kramer of Mount Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service Friday at Barr Memorial Chapel in Fort Madison. The funeral for Mr. Knoch will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Barr Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison. He was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation has been accorded. The family will gather with friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Barr Memorial Chapel in Fort Madison.
