No she left the boys in an orphanage in Germany and possibly left with or met up with her new man soon after. We're not sure if she had the Wagnitz surname when she left for America. The boys father had gone to Australia to find work in 1950 & left the children with her. Not sure what happened between them for her to do that. The father eventually found the children through his or her parents?? of which the boys visited them on the odd occasion but because they were poor & elderly could not look after them. Eventually the boys were shipped to Australia in 1959. All the people that knew of her whereabouts have passed away & not disclosed much more detail other than what I have shared about her.
