I have been searchin for over 2yrs now to see if I could find anyone who has connection to the power family from ireland.
They were james power who was a labourer and was last heard of in Ballynelly in donegal around 1880.
I dont know who his wife was but he left his daughter mary jane power with relatives called Hemphill in donegal and they emmigrated to america or canada with promise to come back and get her at later date but they never did ....
His wifes surname could have been "peoples" or "hemphill" but thats not definate its just a hunch.....
Any help would be much appreciated
