I am researching my husband's family tree. His grandfather was born in Momax, Zacatecas, Mexico in 1914. His name was Salvador Alvarez Campos. His father's name is unknown to me at this time. His mother's name was (this is from Salvador's passport) Sara Robles Vda. de Campos. I believe she later remarried a Garcia. Salvador's father died when he was about 36 years old. Salvador never knew anything about his father. Salvador died in 1972 in a car accident with his wife, Emma. Salvador came to America in May of 1944, he was 30 years old at the time and unmarried. He married Emma Frazee in OH, USA. He had at least one brother and one sister. The brother's name was Froylon Robles. Please let me know if there is any connection to your family. Desperate for information. Thank you, Barbie Castline, castline@bright.net

I am currently researching Haro and Castaneda in Momax, Zac and found a Campos connection. I have been doing my research at the Family History Center, recommend the following films 0443993/Bautismos 1905-1919 and 0443992/Bautismos 1892-1905. The Matrimonial records date back to 1837,Defunciones date back to 1776. My line, Catarina Haro married Francisco Campos, they had a daughter Maria de Jesus Campos in l893, grandfather Trinidad Campos & Mariana Chavez. They had several other children. There are many Campos in the films. Happy Hunting, Saludos, Helyn

Yes, there is a connection. On my mother's side, there are connections with Campos, Haro, Mota, Róbles, and Cornejo, that I'm aware of...I think also Villanueva...My mother's family is from the Momáx area and Rancho San Lorenzo, Zacatecas. I was born in Tlaltenango de Sánchez Román, Zac. All of the "Haros" I've come across in the Southern California area seem to be somehow related, if distantly...

My family is also very large from Zacatecas and I know that we have family spread out in US and MX.

Hi again. I have recently discovered quite a few connections since I last responded to your message. I am now looking for any information on a Lorenzo Campos m. Victoriana Mota in 1875 in Tlaltenango De Sanchez Roman, Zac., MX. He had a brother by the name of Antonio Campos. Lorenzo and Victoriana had at least 3 children. Lucas, Meliscio and Sara. Thought you may be the connection to Lorenzo. Look forward to hearing from you soon. castline@alltel.net

Hello,
Looking for family of many same surnames in Tlaltenango de Sánchez Román, Zac. area. Searching for anyone who would have any information on a Lorenzo Campos and a Victoriana Mota m. in Apr. 29, 1875 in Tlaltenango de Sánchez Román, Zac.. Lorenzo had a brother by the name of Antonio Campos. Lorenzo and Victoriana had many children but I have only 3 of them. Melisico (or Nemesio), Lucas (unsure of spanish spelling for this name) and a Sara. Sara married a Meliscio Alveraz in 1913 and had a son named Salvador Alvarez Campos in Nov. or 1914. Meliscio Alveraz died shortly after Salvador's birth. Sara remarried in 1920 to a Valentin Robles. They had 3 children together, Salvador, Froilan and Hermelinda. Because of the two grandson's with the same first names, Lorenzo started calling Salvador Alvarez, Amador. This is the name his family has referred to him as. Both Salvador and Sara were born in Los Vellas, Zac. Sara's marriage to Meliscio Alvarez shows Maurico Cornejo and Francisca Campos as Godparents and a Refugio Campos and Antonio Campos as Witnesses. I am assuming that the Antonio mentioned here is Lorenso brother, but have no other lead on the other possible family "connections". If you would have any information on any of these individuals, would love to swap notes.

Re: Campos family - Momax, Zacatecas, Mexico
I am helping someone trace family history. In particular, would you have any information on Meredes or Mercedes Mota, born in 1918 (probably in Momax), married to Antonio Robles Delgado, died in Momax in 1982. I'd love to find out about parents, siblings, etc. Thanks!
