Hello. I have recently found out that my great great grandmother's name was Josepha Lopez who married Bernardo Elias In Mexico. They had a son named Joseph Lopez Elias. I am unaware of any other siblings. I just received a copy of my great grandfather's social security application. I have been told that my great great grandparents lived and died in Mexico. If you have any information that would be helpful, I would greatly appreciate it. Good luck on your research!

These are a few sunames that I am researching from Adjuntas del Refugio, Monte Escobedo, Zacatecas. Some have come from San Juan Baptista, Jeres, Zacatecas. They have intermarried in each others families. And have stayed in one place for 100's of years. Any one having the same surnames in their family tree please contact me.

I recently learned that my great-grandfather was Feliciano Cervantes, of Zacatecas, Zac., s/o Antonio Cervantes and Rosa Figueroa. My other paternal g-g-grandparents were Feliciano Reyes and Maria de los Angeles ("Angela") Cifuentes. The family says Feliciano Reyes was born in Spain, the son of Pascual Reyesand Maria Refugio Nava. I do not know if Pascual and his wife came to Mexico. Some of my family came from the city of Zacatecas, and the towns of Guadalupe and Panuco. A gggg-grandmother was Blasa Lopez who m. Castodo (sp?) Flores--I have no dates, but they are my direct ancestors. Please let me know if you see any connections. I will gladly share information.

Hi, I am searching Robles. My Robles lived in Saltillo beginning in the 1680's. They moved to General Cepeda, Coahuila (formerly LOS PATOS) about 1740. My Robles line can found on www.rootsweb.com under the GENCONNECT homepage by entering exherol database. I am interested in how far back you have researched your Robles family. Thanks, Esther A Herold

I cannot recognize your cabral's as related to mines. All mines are from zacatecas and I have a good ammount of data from mi ancestors since around 1770, but surely some lines from uncles are not complete. I have been making some research recently and found that the cabral surname came from galicia, more precisely from around vigo (pontevedra), exactly from the cabral parrish, there. then some moved from there to castilla (burgos) and portugal(where my ancestors came from around 1750). Here in mexico is interesting to note that most cabral are from zacatecas and there are more lines than I expected and probably not related between them here, although probably all come from the same stock.

Hi Cora, Thanks for your reply. Rosa Figueroa is the only Figueroa I have so far. She would have been born around 1849 +/- 10 years. I got her name and that of her husband, Antonio Cervantes, from the birth record of my grandfather, Carlos Cervantes, s/o FelicianoCervantes and Maria Cleofas Casares. My grandfather was born Nov 15, 1889, in Zacatecas, Zac., Mexico. Good luck! Mary

To: Tom de DiosI have just visited Valparaiso, Zacatecas, where my grandfather, Manuel Landa (born around 1889), was from, and also the homeplace of his father, Pedro Landa, probably born in the 1860s. My 96-year-old relative in Valparaiso, Manuel Hernandez Landa (a first cousin of my late father), tells me that Pedro's father was named Basilio Landa, born around 1840 or earlier, perhaps from elsewhere in Zacatecas or Jalisco. Basilio's sister was named Petra. Do you have any information about them? Lucia Landa
