You will find early family members at Boca de Leones, now
called Villaldama, in the state of Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Near Villaldama is a town called Vallecillo and Sabinas
Hidalgo, both in Nuevo Leon.
This family surname is de los Santos Coy.
Boca de Leones was a silver mining town in the late 1600,
early 1700 and you will find the who's who of early New Spain in Boca de Leones. This mine was guarded by subjects of the Spanish crown.
The Church records that deal with the area is called
San Pedro de Boca de Leones.
You will be suprise at what is in the records.
Spainards marring negro slave girls ect.
A great picture into the past.

How can I locate the church records youare talking about? I'd love to read about the area my ancestors came from. I am also wondering if you are making reference toa book and if so, where can I find it?
