I have a written history of my ancestors, the Belshe's, saying Uncle Childress lived in Chamal around the turn of the century, also Sam Belshe, who did not get land in Oklahoma, bought into the Chamal Valley around the turn of the century and moved there around 1909. Uncle Childress Belshe already lived there and helped brand the wild cattle in the valley.
