Seems this post is old - so I don't know who will get this but...
My grandmother put together her own ancestry book. In it I seem to be related to Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez through her grandaughter Quirina Dominguez de Mackenney.
Our story is that Quirina is the grandaughter of Josepha, she married James George Armstrong Mackenney in 1837 (doctor from Virginia). They had Adelaide Mackenney (daughter), Adelaide married Dr. Gideon Auson Hawley. Gideon and Adelaide had my great grandmother Ester Hawley, etc. etc. until me.

So my question would be was Quirina Dominguez de Mackenney related to Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez? Was she in fact a grandaughter of Josepha?

Hello: Seeking information re: the Ladron de Guevara family of Queretaro. The earliest ancestor I have found is Martin Guevara (wife was Beatriz Heredia). Their first child was Beatriz de Guevara, baptized in Santiago Parish 19 May, 1604. Any information on Martin's family much appreciated. I hope to find a will for the father of Martin. Does anyone know a person who could look at the Notarial records in Queretaro? It would be interesting to trace this family to Spain. Thank you! Gracias! John M Haines

Quirina Dominguez wasn't a daughter of Doña Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez. The Corregidoras children were: Ignacia, José María, Mariano, Dolores, Miguel, Juana, Micaela, another Miguel, a second Dolores, Manuela, María Ana, Luis, Magdalena, and Camila.
Quirina was the daughter of Don Quirino Domínguez Ulloa, substitute governor of Chiapas in 1832, and his wife Rosalia Román Villatoro. Thus she was an aunt of famous doctor Belisario Dominguez, senator and politican, killed in 1913 at the National Congress by Victoriano Huerta's army. Doctor Belisario's father was Don Cleofas Dominguez Román, one of Quirina's brothers. The others were Domingo, Vicente, Gregorio, Nicolás, Primitivo, Pantaleón, and Gregoria.
They were an important family in Comitán, Chiapas, with no relationship with Don Miguel Dominguez family, the corregidora's husband.

The parents of my great grandmother, Patricia Padilla, were Baltasar Padilla and Juana. I think Patricia was born in Guadalupe, Chihuahua, Mexico in 1864. She was living in Fabens, Texas when she died in 1924. Does this sound like the same line?

My father's story: My grandfather, Silviano Palacios, and a brother were shot in a dispute over some livestock by some relatives of my grandmother, Pascuala Perez. This occurred about 1944 in northern Queretaro, I believe.
If this rings any bells with anyone, any information is appreciated.

Historia de mi padre: Mi abuelo, Silviano Palacios, y un hermano fueron asesinados en una disputa sobre algunas cabezas de ganado por parte de algunos familiares de mi abuela, Pascuala Pérez. Esto ocurrió alrededor de 1944 en el norte de Querétaro, creo.

Tengo dos hijas con el apellido perusquia, su abuelo paterno fue Gregorio Perusquia oriundo de San Juan del Rio, Queretaro, la mayoria de los Perusquia salieron de Queretaro, pienso que todos son decendientes, por lo tanto familiares, seria bonito hacer una gran reunion con todos los integrantes con el apellido y hacerlo en Queretaro, no te parece? seria cosa de organizarlo, mi esposo se llamaba Hebert Perusquia Morales, ya fallecio, pero existen 5 hermanos mas, espero su respuesta.

Y tu quien eres fridrom? Siquiera eres de la familia Perrusquia y Perusquia? Escribi este mensaje hace 3 años cuando no sabia mucho de la historia de los Perrusquia y ni tenia la menor idea que habia cientos de Perrusquia en la ciudad y en el estado de Qro. Pero la verdad es que no quedan muchos en la ciudad de Santiago de Queretato que van a poder pasar este apellido. Por lo menos agrega algo de valor, no pendejadas...

Mi nombre es Enrique Perusquia, mi papa Florencio Enrique Perusquia Alvarado es originario de Queretaro al igual que mi abuelo, Manuel Perusquia. No se por que algunos son Perusquia y otros Perrusquia con doble r, pero supongo qu fe algun error en alguna acta de nacimiento o algo por el estilo. Bueno yo tengo mucha inquietud por saber de donde proviene el apellido Macotela, mi abuelo Gerardo Macotela me comento que mi bisabuelo era europeo y se dedicaba a la explotacion de oro y dice que el era muy intrepido que se arriego de salir de Italia o Francia por venir a sur America hasta llegar a Peru y radico aca. Ademas hice contacto con carla macotela que vive en mexico llegamos a la conclusion que somos primas porque las dos tenemos la misma historia pero ella es de un hermano de mi bisabuelo que solo llego a Veracruz y mi bisabuelo si se vino mas al sur. Espero que me lleguen mas informacion

los perrusquia en mexico si son una sola rama hay muchos en el estado de queretaro en tequisquiapan queretaro de ahi era mi bisabuelo pero la historia de ellos es mas antigua de las fechas que usted tiene mi bisabuelo se llamaba eugenio mendoza perrusquia y mi bisabuela su esposa era esther macotela larrainzar el origen del apellido al parecer era vazco porque algunos apellidos usan la doble rr
mi abuelo su hijo de el nacio en el año de 1913 en tequisquiapan queretaro y tuvo mas o menos 8 hermanos entre hombres y mujeres mi bisabuelo fue compadre de venustiano carranza y mi bisabuelo tuvo un hotel en tequisquiapan junto con su esposa que se llamaba la granja que tambien era un balneario mi abuelo fue el menor de los hijos y se llamaba cesar augusto angel del sagrado corazon de jesus mendoza macotela a todos los hombres hermanos de mi abuelo les pusieron del sagrado corazon de jesus y a las mujeres de la purisima concepcion.

La familia perrusquia es de origen judio, sin embargo emigraron a espana y de espana a mexico.
Los primeros en llegar fueron melchor perrusquia y sus hermanos. a pricipios de siglo, melchor perrusquia tuvo 7 mujeres de las cuales engendro segun mis informes 25 hijos entre 1920 y 1940. tengo entendido que todos los perrusquia en mexico son de la misma familia.
Yo soy tercera generacion perrusquia y vivo en estados unidos desde 1988.
LO de ser judio me entere hace 15 anos ya que mi hermano fue a la cinagoga en sacrameno california; en la cual le ensenaros documentos sobre el origen judio de los perrusquia.

Tambien soy un orgulloso miembro de la familia Perrusquia, y tambien como usted he tratado de investigar de su origen. Segun mi papa el apellido de Perrusquia viene de origen de la region Vasca, España y segun los los vascos el apellido Perrusquia es de origen italiana de la ciudad de Perugia. Y verdad que Perrusquia resembla a Perugia. Hay muchos linajes del apellido original, Perusquia, Perrusquilla, Ferrusquia etc. y todos se pueden encontrar en la antigua region de Nueva Galicia, que hoy es el Edo. de Queretaro y el Valle de Mexico. Espero que esto le haya servido en algo.

P.D. Mi bisabuelo de origen era de Huimilpan, y hay otras familias en Amealco, San Juan del Rio y Tequisquiapan.

Hola. Mi apellido materno es Perrusquia. Mi familia materna es de Puebla y de Mexico, D.F. Mi padre es de Queretaro y fue un Galindo. Lo curioso es que su padre era de Queretaro, no?

Surfing the web I came across your message. Portezuelo belongs to the Municipio Montes de Cadereyta, Queretaro and some members may be registered there, although my family has pulled records from Queretaro, Queretaro also.

Have you found out any additional info on those Padillas in New Mexico? My grandmother married into that family around 1925. Her maiden name was Julianita (Juliana) Carrillo (from a first marriage). Her birth name was Romero.

Estoy buscando referencias que me lleven a localizar a mis antepasados queretanos. Mi abuelo se llamó JOSE NAVA AMAYA y solamente tengo el dato que nació por el año de 1883, en Cadereyta, Querétaro. Desconozco el nombre de sus padres, o sea mis bisabuelos. No se si tuvo más hermanos o familia. En el año de 1918, él se fue a radicar a la Soierra Norte de Puebla, a la ciudad de Zacatlán, en donde se dedicó al negocio del pulque. Murió en 1936, a causa de gangrena en una pierna, por la diabetes. Si alguien tiene contacto con las familias NAVA o AMAYA, en Querétaro o sus alrededores, por favor, ponganlos en contacto conmigo.
