Hello. My Name is Amber Quiroga. I am searching my Quiroga Ancestry... Hoping someone will know a little more in my search. My Grandfather was Federico Ambrosio Quiroga born 4-10-29. He has a brother Roberto who is still living. 3 sisters, Lupe, Paubla and Emma. My great-grandfather was Jacinto Quiroga born around 1898 and married Margarita Quiroga. ( I believe they were first cousins ) they were from Cieniga de Flores, Nuevo León Mex. they would port into Laredo for work. They at one time lived in Uhland, Texas. ( Hays County ). Having real problems getting detailed info on him and his wife Catalina Villarreal. Laredo records show them as having Aniceto, Gregorio, Domingo, Cruz and Zenona btw 1847 and 1867. Cruz was my g grandmother married to Santos Paredes in 1882 in Hidalgo, N.L. Does anyone have birth dates and places, names of parents, wedding date and place, etc.

Hello All! I have come across a bundle of information about my grandfathers side and wondering if you may have any information on these people. Here is the family tree so far:

Teodoro Mata + Elena Alvarez
Valentin Mata + Maria Fuentes
Jose Alfonso Mata + Juliana Enriquez
Teodoro Mata + Dolores Gaona

This is the current family tree I have assembled. I found numerous baptisms from Doctor Arroyo that supported my findings. My great grandfather's baptism mentions a place called San Cayetano? If you have any info please share.

Hello everyone!

I've posted this before but I am in SERIOUS need of helping finding information on my grandfather. My grandfather's name was Teodoro Mata Enriquez. His mother was Juliana Enriquez and his father Alfonso Mata. I have no idea where my grandfather originated from, although it is known he met my grandmother in a bar on the outskirts of Monterrey. Unfortunately my father never knew his father well. I have looked at my fathers birth certificate which lists my grandfather as 20 in 1956. So he was either born in 1935/1936. As for where he lived I have no idea only clue I have found is that he and my grandmother had two kids without marriage.

I am researching my wife's family and traced part of their family tree to Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon. During the search I found a marriage record from the church San Mateo which indicates that the bride is from "del Rancho de San Antonio de erta Tcerris dision". I may be off on some of the characters in the text. I was hoping that someone could identify the location specified. Thanks.

I'm looking for more information on Callitano "Juan" Solis who was born about 1868. I'm not sure if he was born in Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon, but he had children born there one of which was Esequiel Solis (23-June-1883). Some family members remember hearing he was from Spain but this is unconfirmed.

My Great-Great Grandparents Juan Bautista Garcia and Jovita Buentello married 13Nov1869 in San Juan Bautista, they had 5 children one being my Great Grandfather Epigmenio Garcia. I was told that Juan had a second wife and family as well, I do not have names of those individuals.
If these names are a match I would love correspond as I have very little information.

Maria, my wife has Alcorta's on her mother side of the family. Her mother was a San Miguel married to Munoz. My wife's mother's parents were Jacobo San Miguel and Maria Cayetana Alcorta.

Maria Cayetana's parents were Jose Gumecindo Alcorta and Ysabel Peres.

We have been working on my wife's family tree for about three years and have found information dated to 1730.

Hi All!
I am looking for some information on Petra Ortiz, I found her name listed on a Mexico Census taken in 1930. My great grandfather Alfonso Mata lived in Boquillis, Doctor Arroyo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico with his wife Juliana Enriquez and son Amailio Mata. It lists Petra as 50 at the time of the census being taken, meaning she had to be born in 1880 or earlier. I think Petra may have been my great grandfather's mother or sister. It is known that Petra was widowed at the time of the census. If anyone has information on her or the names listed please contact me ASAP

I have been looking for information on my grandfather's side for a while now and may have found something. My grandfather's name was Teodoro Mata, his parents were Alfonso Mata and Juliana Enriquez. According to a Census in 1930, Alfonso and Juliana were living in Hac. Boquillas, Dr. Arroyo. I have primarly looked for them in Cadereyta or Monterrey. On my father's birth certificate was the name Amador Mata, if anyone has any information on my grandfather or any one related to them please message me!

Eulalia is no so elusive as you think. The link below is of the 1891 Monterrey civil birth record of her daughter Josefa. Josefa's maternal grandparents (Eulalia's parents) are listed as Encarnacion Pena and Teodora Guerrero. Hope this helps:

You might check the Monterrey civil marriages. Since he was born in 1868 and his first child found was baptized in 1891 then chances are he was married at age 18-20 so maybe in the years 1886-1890 to narrow it down somewhat.

well u might connect to ramon's of south texas. first ramon who came was joseph morales around 1632 . he changed his name from morales to ramon. his wife was morales so his children would be morales de morales. they are descendants of Alonso de la pontiga son of suarez de longoria. they are related to diego ramon and domingo ramon pioneers of san Antonio.from Coahuila , nueva españa! all u have to do is connect to joseph ramon. I have a ramon ramily tree that goes back to 1200's in spain.

We visited San Benito last year in March and got to meet one of your aunts and see your grandmother and grandfather, Ramiro Jr. and Mary, who are my cousins. I have reached the end of my quest and I am at a stand still. Here is the information I have been able to gleam so far.

Andres De La Pena married Maria De Los Dolores Davila (my great great grandparents)on 30 May 1819 in Sagrario Metropolitano, Monterrey, Luevo Leon.
There children are: Maria Juana Pena Davila, 29 May 1928, she married Ramon Garcia on 05 Feb. 1853 in the same place as her parents; Rafael De La Pena he married Ysabel Guerra (my great grandparents) on 27 Feb. 1859 in the same place as his parnents.
Rafael and Ysabel had the following children all, of whom were christened at, La Purisima Concepcion, Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico:
Juana De Los Dolores Pena Guerra, 07 Mar. 1860
Rafael Pena Guerra, 18 Jul. 1871
Nicomedes Porfirio Pena Guerra, 24 Sept. 1861

Cosme Pena is my grandfather who married Eulalia Pena. I have not been able to locate the date of their marrage. They immagrated to the United stated in 1916. but I beleive that there were other trips to the US as rearly as 1912. My grandmothers family is proving to be just as elusive.

His family sent him to the US towards the end of the Mexican Revolution 1919,@ the age of 18. He had no relatives in Texas and was sent alone. They had 2 daughters who are my aunt - Luz Mendez and my mother - Aurora Mendez both born in Poteet, TX and baptized in Jourdanton, Atascosa Cty, TX. I found 2 people who appear to be my great grandparents (My grandpa Alejandro's parents) Cipriano Mendez and Aniceta Gomez, whose Fathers are Jose Angel Mendez and Santiago Gomez)*need to acutally verify with the Mxn Parish Records of 1751 - 1880.
