I am currently working on my family tree and need info on my grandfather Catarino Vasquez Vela, married in Los Herreras,N.L.,Mex. to Antonia(a school teacher) around 1920 or earlier. He was originally from Cerralvo,N.L. I had only met him and his wife once around 1960 right after his son, my father's death. My father was Jesus Vasquez born Sept.15,1921 died on Dec.14,1959 and was Catarino's only natural born son, but was not Antonia's son though they did adopt I understand. My father was born out of wedlock and was never acknowledged as Catarino's son until after father's death. My father's mother was Ma.de Los Angeles Villarreal Cordova. Her parents were Manuel Villarreal & Dolores Cordova. Catarino's father I believe was also a Catarino and his mother possibly was a Vela. If anyone can help me find my roots on the Vasquez side I would most greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
