Daniel:
I believe you are researching the family lines of Jose Nicolas Chapa born 1 Jan 1670 and Maria Inez Benavides Flores born 1685, the daughter of Captain Francisco Baes Benavides and Ma. Clara Flores de la Cerda. Jose Nicolas Chapa, the son of Juan Bautista Chapa (Schiapapria)and Beatriz Trevino de Olivares, is known to be the founder of General Trevino. Nicolas named the settlement after the founder of his mother's family in Nuevo Leon. The parents of Beatriz Trevino de Olivares are Juan Olivares and Juana de Trevino.

Daniel, we may be related and a little closer than 300 years ago---I have sent e-mail in the past, but it never gets through. If you can drop me a line.

I thank John Inclan for the info he posted.
