My name is Tom, I was born in Phoenix, Arizona. My fatther was raised in a town called Atil, Sonora. He's fathers name is Jesus. His mothers name is Cokita(sp). My mother was born in Mcallen, Tx. Her name was Julia. Her mothers name is Filabertha. Filaberthas maiden name was Limon. She came from Nuevo Leon. I know she has family there still. I remember her sisters (my aunt) Florencia. I also remember going to a town (village) somewhere around Linares or Glananea(sp). I was there in 1968 and 1974. My grandfathers name on my mother side was Pedro Medina. He was also from Nuevo Leon. He moved to Texas in the early 1900's or late 1800's. I should also mention the my grandfathers (Jesus)family migrated to the Sonora area from Nuevo Leon. The families that went west were the Rubios, the Reyna's, the Urias', and the Gonzales i believe. Any information that any one can provide will be appreciated. My father is putting down our history on paper. I would also like to know if our last names come from Spain and if so where in Spain. Thank you all. Tom
