Maria Encarnacion Chagoyan or Chagollan = b. abt. 1870 Guanajuato, Mex.
My great-great grandmother's name was Maria Encarnacion Chagoyan or Chagollan (I'm not positive on the correct spelling), she was born sometime around 1870 I believe somewhere in Guanajuato, she married my great great grandfather Marcelino Arroyo on April 23, 1890 in Pueblo Nuevo, Guanajuato. They had a daughter, my great grandmother, in 1896 named Maria Bonifacia Josefa Arroyo. Maria Bonifacia married Wenceslao Quiroz. Eventually the family ended up in Mexico, D.F. Might you know any more information about the Chagoya/Chagolla origens?

Re: Maria Encarnacion Chagoyan or Chagollan
Hi. Responding to your query. I only know that the Chagoya/Chagolla name is of french origin. I'm still having problems finding my Chagolla line. But, I have recently got a hold of relatives that live in Irapuato,Guanjuato that I have looking into any documents or history on Chagolla. Hopefully, if they find something I can forward to you. Coincidently, some of my Chagolla line went to Mexico D.F. later? Could be something there.

Hi, Responding to you query. Over the last year or so I was able to find out more about my Chagolla line. The father of my 3X Great Grandfather Jose Guadalupe was Antonio Chagolla. He was married to Narcisa de los Santos Mosqueda. They had a least ten children. As for Jose Guadalupe's wife Maria Guadalupe. Her actual name was Maria Macedonia de la Crus Lopes. Her parents were Juan Jose Lopes and Maria de Jesus Zavala. They had a least five children. Sorry, no Chagoyan. Then again, looking at previous birth/marriage certificates names have changed...Replace a Z with a S, G with a V or even completely remove a letter. Example: N. Good Luck.

Re: Chagolla Family -- Guanajuato, Mex.
Hello Christopher. Thank You for the email response. Since my original post, I have either cleared up or muddied the waters on my Chagolla Line. Did research and found what I believe are the parents of and wife of Guadalupe. I found a marriage certificate for German and Manuela stating parents names, Guadalupe and Crus Lopes. This lead me to finding other birth certificates of the various siblings. The only thing keeping me from stating that in fact these truly is the right Chagolla line is that my Grandmother said there were five children. I found a bunch more. Maybe, those were the only five names that she could remember? Sadly, she passed away 11 years ago. She was going to be 100. Attached is are .jpgs showing findings. Who knows, we might still be related? If I can help, I'm here too. Regards, Jaime
