Hello to all the LLerenas and Velasquez family's. My Mother is a LLerenas Velasquez. From Comala, Colima. Her cousin is Bacillo Velasquez, LLerenas. I have not seen him in 20 years. But I belive he still Lives in the LA Area. He does have 3 sons. Also My Grand father's name is Alejandro Llerenas. And his Father Name was Martin LLerenas. I can only go back as far as my grandparents since I really have no communication with family members from Colima. We might be related by some distant ancestor or something so maybe we can both help each other. My father is Javier Reyes Zamora, born from Javier Reyes Negrete and Mercedes Zamora. I know that my grandfather and his family are involved in the making of Dulceria Reyes which is in Colima. I am looking for the info of a Juan Miguel Anzar and Jose Antonio Anzar, Who came to San Juan Bautista mission in 1833, i think. They were brothers, and they were either born in Guadalupe or Colima, Mexico. I think the Original Family name is Anza, and somewhere along the line they altered it to Anzar. I am mainly looking for the parents of these two men. these two men were born in the 1780's or 1790's. If any of you guys know of an Anza family in Guadalupe
or Colima, Mexico, during the 1780's to 1820's, your info will be greatly apperciated, thanks.

My parents Maria and Horacio Segrove were friends of the Staddens. Mr Stadden was consul in Manzqnillo. Both my parents were from Colima and Manzanillo.

I remember May Stadden and her husband Felipe. I can't remember their last name. They owned a huge home on Golden Gate St. and Broderick, I believe and every New Years they you have a huge party.

My mother believed that my father's materal family (the Riveras) were related to Mr. Stadden by marriage.

I know she had sisters and that one of them lived in Albany, California. The only person left in the Bay Area from Colima that I know of, is Consuelo Figeroa who lives in St.Anne's Home on Lake Street in San Francisco, Ca.

I'm looking for any information on Eugene D. Aliphat, born 8/11/1896 in Colima, Mexico. I have record of him entering the US (port San Francisco, CA) via Pacific Mail Steamship Company in Steerage, (ship name: Peru), on July 17, 1908 - age 9.
I have no record of him, unitl the 1920 US Fed Census reflects him living in San Francisco, Caliornia with w/Lydia Aliphat (Rafael) & children, Lydia age 4yrs & Eugene 2.5yrs. The 1922 SF Directory reflects them living on Peralta Ave, SF, CA
WWI Draft Reg Card - dated 6/5/1918 - FHL 1543861.
1930 US FED Ceneus reflects that his wife has remarried & the two children are living w/her in SF.
Son Eugene Aliphat born 6/26/1918 - graduated from Galileo High School, SF 1937, then no further record of him.

My Granda Mother name is Agapita Zuniga she was born in 8- 1897 in Colima, Colima MX and in the 1927-28 my Grandma left Colima and came to California leaving her son to finish his education he was aware that my Grandma would return to get him and bring him to California but when she returned she found the house empty and the women she had intrusted her son too gone. My Grandma left a note with the nieghbor with the area she was leaving in CA with hope that he would come looking for her, she never left the area in hopes that he would find her befor she died. My Grandma died in 1987. My Mom is still living but not too much time left in her life and all of her sibling are now dead. If her brother is not living he might of had children. My Mom was born in 1928 and her brother would have been 11-12 yrs older. If you heard something from a family memember about any story that relates to this story please post a message.

Yo no tengo el escudo, supuestamente lo tiene Juanan Urkijo pero el sitio que dio quizas es muy viejo, y no funciona (www.apellidos.biz/ver/314.htm) yo soy hija de Enrique Alcaraz Bazavilvazo 1927-1996 de la rama de Mexico. Pero estoy segura que de alguna manera somos familia. En mis investigaciones, encontra un libro el la biblioteca publica. Contiene informacion y genealogia de la FAMILIA BASAVILBASO DE RIO DE PLATA, ARGENTINA. Son 8 paginas de un libro, incluye a Domingo Basabilbaso. Cuando tenga tiempo se los repasare en este sitio para la informacion de todos. Quizas Mercedes ya tenga esta informacion. El libro comienza asi:

"BASAVILVASO" Las tres ramas de la prosapia en el Rio De La Plata. Don Domingo de Basavilbaso, Fundador de la rama portena; su funcion historica//Don Francisco Antonio de Basavilbaso; Vinculaciones de Familia; Los Pozo y Silva//Un documento Genealogico; Vastagos y padrinos//Don Jose Ramon de Basavilbaso y su prole.

Ademas dice: Las armas tradicionales de linaje de Basavilbaso--voz vascuence de "bosque circular"--ostentaban en campo de oro un castano verde con fruto y dos lobos negros empinados al tronco, y en el jefe una estrella roja.

Si no hay quien se oponga lo puedo transcribir a este sitio.

I have a grandmother named Petra Llerenas from San Francisco de Almoloyan Villa de Alvarez, Colima born in 1769 who married Jose Aumada (ahumada)in 1783. I have the direct line from them down to me if you are interested. I was raised in Calif. and have never been to Colima so I don't have much info personally but I do have lots of names and dates.

You might want to contact Linda Williams, another member of the Larios clan, at Linda Willliams [jwilliams@gt.rr.com] to see if she knows of that. She has done extensive research on the Larios family.

We are searching for Deciderio Cevallos. Son of father unknown and mother Maria Francisca. Deciderio married Martina Orosco at San Felipe De Jesus in Colima, Colima, Mexico. They had a son, Federico Orosco Cevallos. This is my husband's father. My husband is Macario Juan Lopez Cevallos.
He was born in 2 Jan 1927. His mother was Maria Epifania Lopez. Macario's grandmother , Martina Orosco was born in Coahoayana.

I too am looking for information about Maria Antonia Larios.
I am trying to determine if she remarried after the death of Jose Antonio Amaya.

I found an 1871 cemetery record at Holy Cross Cemetery in Santa Cruz that lists the name as Antonia Amaya (LARIOS) de Gamboa. I would like to determine if she was married to Jacinto Gamboa. Antonia Larios and Jacinto Gamboa had a child, Sabino Gamboa, who was baptized in Santa Cruz in 1848.

Any information you have will be greatly appreciated.

Tal vez os pueda informar sobre los Basabilbaso (así es como se escribe en su originaria forma, en euskera, la lengua vasca, en la que la "v" no existe). Yo también tengo este apellido, por parte materna, pero un poco lejos de mis primeros ascendientes, aunque, muy probablemente, procedemos de la misma rama. Ahora os explico:
Los Basabilbaso afincados en América no provienen exactamente de Bilbao (Vizcaya) sino de Llodio (a 20 Km. de Bilbao) y, anteriormente, de Orozco, pueblo limítrofe con el anterior.
Fue Domingo de Basabilbaso quien dejó Llodio y emigró, hacia 1730, a Argentina. Él fue el primer Basabilbaso que cruzó el charco. Allí se convirtió en un personaje importante y terminó siendo un potentado. Sobre él podéis recabar información en Internet, utilizando un buscador. Sé que incluso hay algún sello (estampilla) en Argentina, que lleva su efigie, en reconocimiento a sus desempeños en el establecimiento del ferrocarril en aquel país.
Con posterioridad, y dada la prosperidad de Domingo Basabilbaso, cruzaron el charco algunos familiares de éste. Pero ya no sé daros más información al respecto, aunque, efectivamente, como bien sabéis, alguno de ellos terminó estableciéndose en México.
Espero haber aportado un granito de arena a vuestra inquietud.

asi es, pero uno fue a Argentina y el otro a Chile. Despues algunos descendientes cambiaron el nombre a Basavilbaso, ahora hay Basabilbaso y Basavilbaso. En la provincia de Entre Rios, hay una ciudad con el nombre de Basavilbaso, estuve alli en Marzo, tratando de encontrar mas informacion. Pero se me termino el tiempo y no pude conseguir lo que queria, no obstante, un primo mio se esta encargando de buscar la informacion.

Según estoy enterado eran 3 hermanos los que salieron de España y dos se fueron a Argentina , yo desciendo del que se quedo en México pero aquí el apellido se deformo a BAZAVILVAZO ya que cuando los inmigrantes llegaban a México las autoridades escribían el nombre como les sonaba y la S pronunciada por un español en México suena como nosotros pronunciamos la Z

Tango el acta de casamiento de mis abuelos. Acabo de llegar de Argentina hace una semana. Mis primos estan consiguiendo mas informacion. No se si te dije anteriormente, tengo informacion de Bilbao, España donde dice que salieron 3 ramas de Basabilbasos, uno fue a Mexico, uno a Argentina y el tercero a Chile. Lo que no se es si los 3 que partieron de Bilbao eran familiares.
