Surnames: Albarelli, Alvarelli, Padilla, Hernandez, Arenas, Barragan
Augustino Albarelli was born in about 1822 in Moncalvo, Piedmont, Kingdom of Sardinia. He was in California in the 1850s (apparently arriving just after the 1850 census and leaving just before the 1860 census). By 1862, he was in Colima, where (translation by Google) "Mr. Colonel D. Agustin Albarelli is organizing a body of national guard. the brigade was called Nunez." He had at least four children. Antonio was born in 1863, his mother was Juliana Padilla. Andrea was born in 1864 and Agustina in 1866 ... their mother was Marcelina Hernandez. He also had a son (I don't know the name or mother) who died in 1879. Andrea married Francisco Arenas in 1883. Antonio married Apolonia Barragan in 1885.

Agustin Albarelli died in 1882. His estate wasn't settled until 1893, at which time apparently only Andrea and Agustina were still living.

I'm mainly interested in his years in California, but would also like to better understand the many years he lived in Colima. Is anyone researching this family who would like to compare notes? The name was sometimes spelled Alvarelli.
