Hello and thank-you for replying so quickly:)
Your finding certainly does seem to fit into my family, but I'm not quite sure how as the names are correct. The timing is off for Margarito to the child of my gr-grandmother, Paulina REY.
Per my information, my gr-grandparents were Ceiro LUCERO and Paulina REY. My family tells me they were from the Tarahumara region of Chihuahua. I did find a WWI draft record for Abulino LUCERO stating he was from Ascension, Chihuahua. Abulino, according to my relatives, is related to Ceiro, possibly another son.
Ceiro did have a son named Elias, whose mother was not Paulina (I am working on finding his birth certificate). My family had not heard of Elias and thought he was Abulino. However, both show up on records and are not the same person. Elias lived most of his adult life in Odessa, dying there 21 Feb 1972, and it is very possible that he was named after his father. Elias's wife's name was Bruna HERRERA (relationships to G.E. Herrera??) and it appears that she was divorced with children when they married. I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO SEE A COPY OF THE DEATH CERT. FOR Margarito LUCERO.
I have found my grandmother's birth certificate. She was born in 1907. The certificate states my gr-grandmother, Paulina REY, had 7 children born to her at the time of my grandmother's birth, but my grandmother Paz was her first living child. Margarito is related, but not likely Ceiro's son, probably a grandson. Odd that my gr-grandmother Paulina REY would be listed as his mother??
How can I see the death certificate for Margarito?? And, once again, MUCH appreciation for quickly responding to my question:)
