Ricardo, I took a closer look at my information and you and my wife are related. Your common ancestor is Vidal Magallanes and Dolores Portillo. You are a descendant of Ramon Magallanes and she is a descendant of his brother Jose Valentin Magallanes. There is a picture earlier in the thread of a Jose Valentin Magallanes. We are trying to figure out if that is Jose Valentin senior in the picture, or if there was a Jose Valentin junior, and if so...is that him in the picture? If it is Jose Valentin Magallanes senior, it is Ramon Magallanes' brother. If there was a Jose Valentin Magallanes junior, then it is Ramon Magallanes' nephew.

I found this information through research. How did you find your information? If it is personal family history, I would like to communicate with you because this is a side of the family that my wife's family has not had contact with. I theorize that they lost contact because two of the Magallanes in her family died at a young age, so contact was lost.
