My father had told me that we had an aunt who had been married to Pancho Villa, but did not know her name, more than likely my Grandfather, Jesus Renteria would have known, but he passed a while back. I do know that he had a brother & family still in Mexico but all the info on my family in Mexico is mostly known by an uncle that has been out of touch with the family for a while. I've always wondered if my father was telling the truth about the aunt, but seeing someone else with the same name saying the same, lends more truth to what I was told.

Muchas gracias.
And I have some lomeli family living in Arizona. I don't speak Spanish but maybe we can figure out a way to communicate more if you think we may be related.

My grandfather, Antonio Vasquez P. (don't know what the P stands for I heard it is his mother's name Perez but not verified) came to Texas in 1847 at the age of 15 along with a brother, Patricio Vasquez (or VaZquez) from Aguascalientes Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Their mother, Gil's sister sent them to live with their Uncle, her brother, his name was Gil Vazquez who administered El Rancho Granjeno, in Buena Vista Texas just north of Brownsville. Don GIL VAZQUEZ (that is how the name is spelled on his grave)adopted Antonio as his son. I do not know Don Gil's sister's name. Hoping you may have something for me. I would like to know Higinia's parents name maybe I can connect some dots with that. Thanks

Martinez-Alvarado family search

Hello
I'm looking for the Martinez-Alvarado family. They are from Aguascalientes,El Tepetate Zacatecas,San Luis Potosi Area. My father is Juan Alvarado (1957,mission,tx).
I'm looking for my GREAT grandparent and so now. My grandparent are:

Juan Alvarado born in 1934, El Tepetate (I think) his dad is Jose Alvarado (EL tepetate)and his mother is Irene Consuelo(Galindo) Guerrero (Aguascalientes).I'm not sure of their D.O.B, but i think Jose A is between 1910-1913 and Consuelo is between 1913-14. According to the info from my grandfather. He's parents were together until he was 7-8 yrs old. They had 3 children together, my granpa (he's the oldest), Raul(died at 3yrs old & Patrocino(died at 4-5 yrs old). His mother left his dad and remarried to Manuel Guerrero(acientos, aguascalientes). It is possible that there maybe a family connection between Jose and Manuel. my GG and Manuel and granpa moved to Reynosa. My GG and Maunel had 5 children together.

Then theirs, my granma Amelia Martinez Alvarado(1937, Reynosa-mission, tx). Her mother is Otila Rodriguez(San Luis Potosi), died in reynosa, mx on 6/7/1953(37yrs old). Death certi. states her parent names as Maximo Rodriguez and Teresa Saldana from San Luis Potosi, mx. Now, it gets a little tricky. Otila R. married Agustin Martinez(villa de reyes,& Slp,mx)they had 11 children. My granma is the oldest. However, it was said that Agustin M. is not my granma's real father. My gma was already born when Otila and Agustin met in Reynosa. Otila R. had a fallen out w/ her family and moved to Reynosa, mx. Now, another story that is said my gma real dad was well known person in her town and either his family didnt of prove of her or she might of had an affair w/ this man who could of been married. I'm not really sure of this, it could of been another reason she moved.
So i'm looking for any information to any of the names mentioned above. Please Email me at lcjcjulian@sbcglobal.net
Thanks Jenny

Okay, so you believe Crispin, Blas's father, had a father named Crispin? Meaning they are two separate people, the 1865 Crispin and the 1847 Crispin? I agree with the death info listed by David Leos, but I also thought maybe he was guessing at a birth date? It would help to find Crispin's birth information, but I guess that is the biggest mystery here. Thanks for your help.

/Volumes/NO NAME/pc files/DSC00018.JPG

found this gravemarker in san fernando 1 cemetery in san antonio. shows that blas's father was in fact born in 1865 (dec 1864) and died in 1920. This is the crispin in the 1900 census. This crispin's father was born in 1847 and died in 1917, based on his death certificate. I believe his death certificate erroneously listed corpus christi as his birthplace, info probably provided by david leos, blas's stepson, since his name appears on the document. still looking for more info on the 1847 crispin from ireland. His ship may have docked in new york from ireland via england where many irish immigrated from. still just a guess.

ld

Hello, a great-great-great grandmother of mine was once married to( or possibly just had a son with, as I can't find any marriage info) a Toribio Leos. They apparently had a son, David Leos, sometime around 1884-ish? who I guess, would have been my great-great-great grandfather, Crispin Donnell's step-son. They were all from Mexico and Texas (San Antonio area). Her name was Catarina Vasquez. Please let me know if any of this sounds familiar. I'm trying to put pieces together.

Thanks,
Erica
