You know those names are popular in Calvillo, San Jose Aquacalientes. But you need to provide First names to go with the last names and years of births etc....

Rubalcaba, Serna, Calvillo

Hi Chiquita:

I am looking for the ancestors of Manuela Serna, born Dec. 26, 1828 in Villa Hidalgo, Jalisco (across the border from Cieneguilla, Aguascalientes). She was the daughter of Leocadia Serna and Ramona Diaz, who may have been from Cieneguilla or Calvillo, Aguascalientes. (Most people from Villa Hidalgo came from Aguascalientes). Leocadia Serna was the son of Norberto and Atnonia Serna.

Also seeking ancestors of Maria Fermina Rubalcaba: Daughter of Juan Manual Robalcaba and Maria Franceska Yanez. She was also born in Villa Hidalgo, but parents are probably from Calvillo or Cieneguilla.

Do you know why the surname Robalcaba is so prominent in Aguascalientes and northern Jalisco? Did early conquistadores come there?

Are the Cavillio baptism records for 1750 to 1800 indexed at all?

Thank you.

John.

Hi,
My previous message was not helpful to anyone. Am looking in Quiquinaque area. Juan Saucedo married Lugarda Garcia 1828 in Villa Hidalgo. Juan's parents were Manuel Saucedo married to Trinidad Dias. Lugarda's parents were Marcos Garcia married to Vicente Prieto in 1804 in Rabicano. Thank you for any information. I found map showing Presa de los Serna in Aguascalientes. It is West of Calvillo. FYI Please note that I have new email address.

I have the microfilm of the Cavillo baptism records for 1750 to 1800 and they are NOT indexed. I am looking for Valdivia or Baldivia or Baldibia. IF you need a look up and have a pretty good hunch as to the time period we may be able to help each other.

The family I am researching is from the Calvillo, Aquascalientes, Mexico area. I am well aware of the VALDIVIA name being very prominent in Chile but this family is listed as "Espanol" on their birth records and I am assuming they come from Spain. I suggest gathering all the information on your family and start your research by finding their birth records from the LDS microfilms at the Family History Center near you. If you need additional help feel free to contact me.
