There was a large family of Fentons living at Worsbro Dale, Worsbrough, Barnsley on the 1871 census. It is right next to Ardsley on the map. There were nine in the family, which was headed by William Fenton and his wife Henrietta. Their children are aged between 0 and 13, so if it was one of the males, there was George H Fenton, aged 10 or William Fenton aged 13. ...Perhaps 10 years on from this, one of them went abroad.
