Hello list,
I would like to know if anyone can tell me where to find this information. A family member, Richard Jackson Wright died in the Yukon Territory while working for Bechtel on the Alcan Highway. This person was in a fight in a bar and died November 9, 1943. He was a citizen of the U.S. and I cannot find him listed in the social security death records and don't know where to look now. Would there possibly be a newspaper article about this? Have not found an obituary here in California where his family residence was at the time, I assume he was buried there in the Yukon Territory. Can anyone help me?
Diane

Hello,
Looks like I'm the first to respond to your queery.

My father also worked on the Alcan Highway. I have copies of photographs that someone other than my father took while working there. I also have a book that has signatures of all the men and women that worked on his crew. I will see if the person you are looking for, signed the book.
I hope you have found the information you need since your posting.
