Searching for anyone related to this man. He was my father and apparently had many many children all across Canada by several different women. He was born in Isle de la Madeleine PQ and was originally married to Lois Beatrice Morine in 1941. My mother was known then as Jeanine Dehondt then Jeanine Deraspe. They lived in various places in Southwest Ontario Canada including Chatham, Owen Sound, Mount Forest, Leamington. I was born in 1962, my brother in 1963 and we are apparently the youngest of his children. He died 25 January 1968 and is buried at Isle de la Madeleine PC. Any information would be greatly appreciated... Louise Deraspe Haulbrook ttess80@hotmail.com

Hi, have you posted / researched elsewhere
It appears that your research is in Quebec and Ontario.

Your father was not married to the mothers of the other children.
It is very possible that these children may not know - the name of their father or the circumstance of their births.
Things / attitudes were very different in those days.
Perhaps there may have been adoptions -

Searched Online White Pages Directory MyTelus.com
for the DERASAPE surname
Nationwide Canada. 280.
Quebec 274. British Columbia 3. Nova Scotia 1.
Ontario 2.

Thank you! This is my first shot at this and frankly
wasn't sure how to start.
Thanks for the information...and you're right, things
were very different back then..and considering most of his children would be between 55-70 by now, it's more likely than not that no search will be all that successful.

Hi, It is possible - if the children as adults were curious about their history.
they may have registered with some Parent/Sibling finder organization.
Some Provinces have Registries - where parents/children [siblings ?]can search for family.
Have you posted to Message Boards for Ontario/ Quebec
or General Message Board for Canada? those might be reasonable areas that any children born in those Provinces might check.
