Hi, Depends on if they were travelling by direct or indiect route.
If indirect they may have sailed to England - then to CDanada/USA
If Direct Some left from the Port of Hamburg - others from the port of Antwerp Belgium
What research have you already done?
Where did the person/Family settle?
Have you searched for Naturalization record /Citizenship
this should show - name Place of Birth - Names of Parents - Port and Date of Departure - Port and Date of Arrival
Name of Passenger ship
Search Passenger list f0r other possible family members.

Perhaps family submitted family history Stories to a Local History Book Project ?
may then mention where the family was from - and the port of departure/ arrival

Cheers, Stella

Hi, Best to post an indivicual message - rathr than attqached to the message posted by someone else - otherwise the threads of the messages get intermingled - and difficult to follow.

For Information re Immigration from Pakistan -
There are many people in Canaa who have come from Pakistan.
Best information - will come from Govt of Canada Immjigration services - check telephone book for addresses -
They will have correct information about the Immigration Process - best to do that than rely on general public - who do not have all of the correct information re the proceedure.

Settled in Toronto. As for Local History Projects - very doubtful. Spoke little if any English. I will try the Naturalization/Citizenship route.

Hi, GOLDBERG family settled in Toronto ONTARIO.
Posting there - Researching in Ontario /Toronto
could prove helpful.
Posting the full name may help find family connections who could help with your search.
PASSENGER LIST - could show all family members travelling together.
Note: we had family members - travelling from ther home - by wagon -to a larger city - travel by train to Hamburg - direct sail to Halifax Canada - by train to the Province where they settled.
Other family - travelled by train to the Port of Bremen - one was a direct route - the other indirect - ship to England - then Canada.

This message board - for Kids - not as active as some others eg. Ontario - which may have more experienced persons - posting and responding -and could prove more helpful for your research.

Library in Toronto - may prove helpful.
Cheers, Stella
