Surnames: Poncsak, Bodnar, Csuka, Lakatos
Does anyone know if the above towns had local history books. If so I would like anyone who has the book to do a look up for me to see if there is any mention of the Bodnars, Poncsaks, Csukas or Lakatos' families.
Thank you to anyone who can give me any information

I have two books "Three Score & Ten 1886-1956, A History of the Swedish Settlement of Stockholm & District," written by Gladys M. Halliwell & M. Zetta D. Persson, first edition in 1959, 2nd revised in 1976.In the back is a list of homesteaders up to 1903. I do not see any of the names you are looking for. My new email address is hcarter1@shaw.ca.

Would it be possible to look up the name Alm and Knourek in your book "Three Score & Ten 1886-1956". My family are Finnish Swedes from that area. I would be very thankful.

I might be able to help with your Knourek questions. My aunt has family members with that surname.

Thanks for the reply,
The person I am looking for is Anna Knourek born 1877. She married Magnus Alm in April of 1915 in Esterhazy. That is all I know.
Thanks for the help!

I'll see what I can find out. It may take me a bit as the people I need to contact use only "snail mail".

Hello,

If it's a help the family names you mentioned are all hungarian surnames. Actually Esterhazy is one of the biggest and oldest hungarian noble family and there's also a town called Esterhaza. Maybe you should check this direction too.
