In the History Book "Treasury of Memories" of the Kolin district near Esterhazy on pge 208 is a short write-up and picture on Anna Knourek Anderson Alm. I can send it to you if you wish.
I am a descendant of the Tobias Knourek /Barbara Meuller family and also searching for any information/pictures on any of the family.

Thank you so much I would love to get the info. Would you like my email? I do not have much info on the Knourek Family, but I do have a picture of her husband Magnus Alm and of course his family by his first wife. The Anderson in her name is interesting because that name is also related to the Alm side. I too have a short write up on the Alm Family that mentions Anna that I can send you too.
Let me know
Kathy

Hey all,

I too am interested in the history books for Esterhazy!

Roy RUSHKA and I, Paulette GILCHUK have been researching the Chodove People from Bohemia, that migrated to the Gerald, SK area. The families included the MIKOLAS, HRUSKA, NEYEDLY/NEYEDLEY, MARTINOVSKI, etc. families.

We have now started branching off and researching other families of the area.

These "new" families include:
-The slovak family of Adam PONGRACS, the TOCHORS, the BODNARS, the LAKATOS and LUKACS/LUCAS families and many more. Many came from Pennsylvania in 1886 with the immigration agent, Esterhaz. We are researching all on the list.
-The crazy group from Atwater, including the DUCHEKS and the KNEZACEKS (yup, I am related)

If you are interested in collaborating our efforts or would like to point me in the direction of some good history books (some are available on www.ourroots.ca) then I would greatly appreciate an email or head over to www.chodovepeople.com to join our group.

We are gathering together all the people interested in furthering their slovak research. We are in contact with the archives and are awaiting pricing and such.

PS> Mr. Overland (yup, he was my principal at one time) is very knowledgable in all history. Hey Norm!

Thanks a bunch, Paulette

Hi Kathy...

My wife is a relation to the Knourek family and I've managed to build out a fair bit of their family tree.

I'd greatly appreciate any photos that you might have. I'd also be willing to grant you access to view the online tree I've built.

Thanx in advance for any help you can provide.

Cheers... Blair
