Looking for any information on the McQueen (MacQueen, MacQuien) family who settled in Wapella area. Donald Ewan came from North Uist Scotland in 1884 with the settlers and married a Margaret Mac(Mc)Donald also from Scotland?
His parents were Donald MacQuien and Alexandrina MacVicar.

Looking for marriage license and death certificates and any further history on the family. Thanks.

Thank you for the gravestone photos and also the other information.
I had found them in the Census for 1891,1901, 1906, 1916 and 1921.
I have only found the Saskatchewan index of births for Lachan, Neil, Donald, Hugh John and Effie.

I would really like to find the wedding registration of information on Donald Ewan and Margaret, as I would like to find out more on who she is.

The date of death as well as the year of death for Donald Ewan.

Do you have any ideas where I can source this information?
Thanks

Thanks for this book. I have found children of Donald Ewan and Margaret already.
Do you have any other book suggestions for this area?
Thanks

Surnames: McQueen, MacDonald
Margaret's maiden surname was MacDonald and she was born, I think, in 1863 in South Uist. I found this information connecting her to Donald (he is my 1st cousin twice removed) on the Ancestry tree of jlfisher135 (Jan) which has further details of her parents and Scottish census records that she appears in. I too would like to pin down a marriage for her as they didn't seem to be married in Scotland before they left. A document attached to Jan's tree suggests that they got married shortly after settling in Saskatchewan.

Hi Alison,
I am trying to confirm that this Donalf Ewan McQueen/MacQueen/MacQuien is the son of Donald MacQuien and Alexandrina McVickar from North Uist. My great grand mother was his sister.
I have found birth records and other information on most of his and Margaret MacDonlad's children. I have found information on the Margaret MacDonald and her family, I have at this point been unable to find a copy of their marriage license to confirm it is them.
I am working on contacting churches to see if they have anything in their records.
If you have any information that would help I would appreciate it. If I can help you let me know what you would like and how you woul: like me to send it.
Cheers
Ginny
