If no one offers help -
Contact the Public Library for Weyburn Sask - they may hold newspapers in their collection - and may be able to help. They may have news clippings as well.

There may be Obituaries published - re the deaths of John Albert MOORE and Leonore Lena MOORE nee FOSTER death on June 4 1929.
This must have also been a news story - it is possible that there was a news story - perhaps

Family may have submitted Family History / stores - to a local history book project in the mid to late 1980's
Many Local History books have been digitalized - and can be read online at
Our Roots/ NosRacines -http://www.ourroots.ca/

Provincial Archive - may also hold newspapers in their collection

Hi,

I realize you won't know who I am, but my mom (born Agnes Rose) was born to a Moore family in Heward in April 27 of 1938. She was given up very early and happily adopted to loving parents.

However, when she was seriously ill in 2007, I had met a gentleman from the area who, when I explained my mother's story, told me the story of your family. He gave me the name Clifford and Donald Slator as well.

The gentleman also told me to speak to Jim Griffith, a postmaster in the area. His daughter Laura Sabados (?) helped him converse for a while until he declined to comment further saying "it was not a conversation for polite company". He did suggest more information may be found from Bill and Muriel Rose of Heward.

I don't know if any of this story makes any sense to you, and I understand fully if you are not interested in adding more confusion to your family story. My profile is public and you will find a picture of my mom (Lynda Ethel Anderson - Tweedie) shown.

I would love to hear any information you would be willing to share. Mom passed in 2012 after a lengthy struggle with kidney and liver disease that had its origin in a genetic blood clotting disorder.

Thank you for reading my post and my sincere best wishes in your search.

Yes, I do know of Clifford Moore and Donald Slator.

Clifford Moore was adopted to the Scott's Family, he was born as Clifford Allan Leonard Moore. Clifford Married Joane Delores Nichol who had five children, one of which is David (the one on this news feed).

The story I got from the Slator family was in 1929 shortly after the youngest was born (Ethel Lena June Moore) the mother Lenore Lena Foster died (maybe by a fire, unsure on the details) and the father John Albert gave up his children to local family friends, except for William and Keith who were taken to Indian Head to an orphanage.

I can try to help in anyway I can.
