Hello - I am from Maple Creek. I have never heard of nor seen the name Snider in Maple Creek, although Switzer is quite common. I would think the town hall maybe could help; also the Jasper Centre has the Maple Creek News in archives. I believe they will let you look at them in a semi-dark room. There are Snyders here as well......I would guess that it was a partial plot sold to Quicks. (They do sell single plots.) Hope that helps.
