Thanks for your help. I found and have a copy of Alexanders Death the person that registered the death was a friend and Alexander was single. I will try the Volunteers thanks for this information. I live in Scotland so its a long distance to try to search these things personally :-))) David & Alexanders brother James's wife was Marion and as far as I am aware they both died on New York.
As to the Pierces I know nothing about this family at all. As all the brothers coam from Scotland so presume the Pierces must have a connection to Scotland too but do not know what it is. Pierce is not a family name but then both Alexander and David were in the army during WWW1 so maybe thats how they know them. They had a younger brother Robert Fyfe Drummond dob 1893 who came over to Canada before the war and served Canadian Infantry (Alberta)and was killed in 1917. I looked at both David and Alexanders medal card and they both were being looked for by the police to give them their medals not usual practice, so something was going on. !!!!
Thanks very much for all your help it is much appreciated.
