I am searching for any information on this individual - I only have his obituary from Feb 25, 1956. He passed away in Vancouver, but homesteaded in Meacham area of Saskatchewan,in an area with a lot of land owned by CPR. I am wondering if Sam was given his land by the railroad as he was the first railway section foreman in Colonsay, Winter, Dana and Totzke. He later lived in Elstow, Young and Ogema. He retired to Vancouver in 1944 and had a sister, Mary Anderson living in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He immigrated from North Dakota in 1906. He was one of the first RM Councillors at Colonsay and Meacham and involved with the Sask Coop elevators. I have not been able to find any documentation of any of this, however.
